Thanks for your help combating the vandal-bot that's been slamming us recently...! --Kiefer KieferE KieferTalk 09:04, 6 October 2007 (EDT)

Yes, you have done a lot to help with keeping the wiki clean from spam. Thank you very much.

Requests for deletions with {{spam}}Edit

If you don't mind, when you place this template (or {{Deletion}} for that matter), please do not delete the contents of the page. By doing this, you save yourself and the administrators a step (checking the history to ensure that the page is actually spam and not a random person trying to get valid pages deleted). From what I have seen of your edits, you are an upstanding editor and I'm glad to work with you here.

Thanks for all your help with keeping vandalism under control here. You have made my job a whole lot less annoying.

Hello there Edit

I was just checking the Coldplay page, I inverted so much time on it and the format cause I'm a big fan and I want it to be one of the best around this web, and I was gonna add information on the new album and I just checked out that you already put the information and in the same format. I just wanted to say thank you, cause I really liked how I finally manage to organize it, and your support is really well appreciated. thanks again and I hope to see more of your Collaborations.— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Grifit (talkcontribs). 20:11, 5 May 2008

Page RankingEdit

I noticed that you are a fan of Coldplay, so I was wondering if you wanted to share some responsibility with me for looking after the page, by becoming an official "watcher" ?  ♫Яєdxx Actions Words 23:44, 9 August 2008 (EDT)

Cat Lang English Edit

Thanks for reverting the edit. I've protected the page now. I don't think users really need to edit such pages, instead there is a talk page to discuss any useful modifications. cheers & happy editing ∃cho⚡ierr∀ ( ) 11:47, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for taking care of the vandalism. Much appreciated! — 6×9 (Talk) 12:20, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Capitalization+ Edit

You can go back and forth with people all day over the capit. of the last parameter. I generally use all caps, it is more consistent site-wide, rather than just on one page. If you'd like I could explain further on how, but I'm not going to battle with you over it. On The Killers:Hot Fuss (2004) for some reason I saw the lower half of the page having caps and the upper not, so I just made all of it caps. The main reason I came here though is to point out LW:AGF, assuming someones grammar is bad because they don't abide by grammar rules (on a site that doesn't generally follow the rules of grammar, I might add) is rather insulting, and we are urged to refrain from such activity. I see you are an honest editor, and I mean no offense by pointing this out (I have to remind myself on this policy sometimes ;) ).ҚιļļεяСļоωη 01:53, December 12, 2010 (UTC)

Coldplay Edit

Hi, I saw that you reverted the changes to Coldplay about Mylo Xyloto probably because you thought the tracklist was still speculative. As it turns out, these tracks are now confirmed ([1]). Thanks for the help working on Coldplay, though!

hard4me 20:31, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

  • No, they're not. There's no mention of a tracklisting here. It's specifically stated here that the tracklist is still being worked on. The Wikipedia article rightfully doesn't mention a tracklist, because there isn't one. Taking the already existing tracklist for Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall and then slapping another song that you heard of onto the end of it isn't a valid tracklist for the album, it's pure speculation. -- I need a name (Complain here) 22:04, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

4 questions to one edition Edit

Hi, noname

I have a bunch of questions to you:

  1. Do you have additional info, confirming the info, mentioned in your revert comment?
  2. Have you listened to this song (@Spotify 16 or Kingnee - Youtube f.e) before making mentioned revert?
  3. What for youtube & asin params have been removed from {{SongFooter}}?
  4. Are you familiar with LW docs? Have you heard someting about edit wars?
rsvp, --Senvaikis (talk) 22:27, November 12, 2015 (UTC)
Your silence didn't leave me any other choice - I rereverted your edition. Feel free to let me know, if you disagree and may prove that. And please, keep in mind, that responding to messages, addressed to you, is highly recommended in any case. --Senvaikis (talk) 08:07, November 13, 2015 (UTC)
  1. Not sure what more info you need than the words "no lyrics - hopelandic" on the band's official website.
  2. I've been listening to it for 8 years from the CD I bought. Not non-stop, obviously.
  3. That's me not paying attention when reverting back to this version of the article and inadvertently removing them in the process.
  4. Yes, I know edit wars involve repeatedly and persistently reverting an article in a short space of time, not reverting it once and then leaving it.
  5. Not technically a question, but I didn't reply sooner because I've had sleep and work.

Thx for response. Leaving alone all 5 your answers, I still would like to know - do you agree now, that this song isn't instrumental? :) --Senvaikis (talk) 19:37, November 13, 2015 (UTC)
I've never claimed it was. -- I need a name (Complain here) 13:30, November 14, 2015 (UTC)
 :)... --Senvaikis (talk) 13:36, November 14, 2015 (UTC)
So, can I change the page back to correctly stating that the lyrics are Hopelandic and not the pseudo-English someone on the internet thought up? -- I need a name (Complain here) 16:36, November 21, 2015 (UTC)
So, you listened finally to the song and found it sounding "Hopelandic", i.e. resembling the phonology of the Icelandic language? Then either the definition of Hopelandic should be corrected on WP, or you should listen to the song once more.
I agree that "English text" of the song is absolutely senseless, but it definitely doesn't sound to me "resembling the phonology of the Icelandic language". Btw, I know a lot of "truly English" lyrics with not much more meaning... --Senvaikis (talk) 18:56, November 21, 2015 (UTC)
I haven't "finally" listened to the song, I've done that many times since 2007ish and at no point did it have any English lyrics. I'd point out that I've found another part of the Sigur Rós website that clearly states that Andvari is in Hopelandic, but since you've managed to completely ignore the other time I mentioned the website, I'll go with a different tact and recommend you update the lyrics for Hljómalind to "Your eyes on my fork/Oh, Zeus/Oh, you/Oh, a lie/You sigh, why?". That's what I hear, after all. -- I need a name (Complain here) 22:06, November 21, 2015 (UTC)
No, thx - I'm not as good in transcribing, as you, to follow your recommendation ;).
But to be serious, the link above seems to me more solid argument in favor of Hopelandic. Just then the definition of Category:Language/Hopelandic should be extended - current description still contains only a link to WP, such way limiting it to "resembling the phonology of the Icelandic language", and Andvari definitely doesn't match this definition. --Senvaikis (talk) 11:09, November 22, 2015 (UTC)

BTW: See my related discussion with Echo on his talk page. IMHO either we need a new template ({{Gibberish}}?) to insert instead of {{Instrumental}}, or we tag them instrumental but with a proper note in the CreditBox section. --Fassbrause (talk) 11:26, November 22, 2015 (UTC)
