Could you fix the margins please, the iTunes and the left side bar, they're out and they're bugging me.

This is rather a nice boot. I don't know if I've already given it to you but I figure you might want two anyway.
Song of the Day: "Frame by Frame" by King Crimson.

I'll need a screenshot. Because on my (far superior) browser it looks OK. — 6×9 (Talk) 17:41, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Sorry I should've thought. File:Main page.jpg  Яєdxx Actions Words 19:48, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Done Added padding to iTunes box & removed left margin for menu. The latter was probably put there on purpose (though I like it better without, too), so there might be some complaints. I'll forward them to you. — 6×9 (Talk) 11:38, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Well I guess it's only fair. I don't often get any ;) Anyway thank you x Much better!  Яєdxx Actions Words 17:17, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Can you help this user?

Netbix emailed me: "On any song in itunes text i see: #REDIRECT A-ha:Minor Earth Major Sky".

I know some of our users experience difficulties, like Netbix, trying to fetch lyrics from the a-ha page (due to display text?). I tried experimenting with alias but he has told me it made no difference. You know more about these things than me so can you flick a trip switch or something?

Яєdxx Actions Words 18:29, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
P.S. I can't decide on what the SOTD should be today. Any suggestions?

Nothing I can do about that, it's a problem with the API. "a-ha" is changed automatically to "A-Ha", which in turn redirects to "A-ha". This seems to happen with all A-ha songs.
An appropriate SotD would be this one, but I'd rather not be reminded of that… *empties yet another bucket of sweat* — 6×9 (Talk) 18:59, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. If there was a way I knew you would know. I'll tell Netbix the bad news.
And thanks for the song too. I have never heard of that group. Sounds like they may have hung over from the Summer of love. Anyway, I listened to it a few times, then I waved my wand at it while saying the magic words "Subsituto Songum!" and all of a sudden it turned gold!  Яєdxx Actions Words 06:04, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Their most well-known song is the first one from the same album. And that one might sound somewhat familiar to you… Unfortunately they went downhill pretty fast after the first album. — 6×9 (Talk) 07:17, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for that. I've had an enjoyable evening following the links, listening, reading and researching. "Child in Time" is one of the greatest songs of all time (fact) and one of my all time fave songs so I was very interested to learn of the connection. Well you learn something new every day as they say. I added video and audio links to all the songs and I also decided it was high time "Child In Time" (lol) was Gold, so I did that too. The only downside to all this though is that now I've got ringing in my ears and a bit of a sore throat...Oooooo ooooooo ooooooo... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA... ;)  Яєdxx Actions Words 03:06, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Split albums

I had a question about the split situation that came up when I saw the result of your edit to The Best Of Dire Straits & Mark Knopfler: Private Investigations (2005). I like how the split situation lists the two main artists at the top of the page, but I noticed that now the SongFooter doesn't link to those two Artist's pages at the various websites. I was surprised (pleasantly) that in some instances, that not only did they link to Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler, but also linked to the combo using the "and" ( and Amazon). Perhaps this could be done when there is a split? Just wondering....    Kiefer    talk    contribs    admin   04:06, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

My first idea was to treat split albums like VA ones – i.e. no artist search links in the AlbumFooter at all. Searching for "Artist 1, Artist 2 … and Artist n" instead is probably better though. A third option would be a search link for each artist, but that would mean a LOT of extra code that would only ever be used on a small minority (currently 273) of album pages.
There's the question of a naming convention for split albums though: if it's to be just the album title I'll have to change the bit in {{Album}} that recognises an album as V.A. if there's no artist in the pagename. (In this particular case it only works because there's a colon in the album title… but that's cheating!) — 6×9 (Talk) 07:46, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
I think that Split albums (or situations such as this one, which aren't strictly the usual Split album situation - and in fact technically isn't, since it has more than 2 artists included, even though they are closely related) should be treated as a VA album as well, with no Artist portion to the album filename.
I was more interested in the variation in the SongFooter searches between those two edits. The SongFooter appears to reference the Artist parameter in the Album template with regards to searches. In the original edit, that meant that the searches were for "Dire Straits", "Mark Knopfler", and the "and" searched for "Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler", as long as the Artist parameter was "[[Dire Straits]] and [[Mark Knopfler]]".
Using the Split parameters, this added joint search doesn't exist. Since a Split album should by definition only have 2 artists (not up to Artist n), adding the "and" portion shouldn't be that horribly complex, I wouldn't think. A "various artist" compilation album would have up to Artist n, which I think would certainly be a extremely convoluted thing to code for all included artists, and wouldn't be very useful anyhow. A little weighty at the bottom, I would certainly imagine.
But the current method is certainly usable, and I don't think that a change needs to be done. If it was an easy addition, then an update would be nice, but I certainly am not bothered by the current state of things in the least.
Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I did somehow miss your reply. While I'm here, just let me say thank you for all that you do. It should be said more often. Your template skills alone make you an invaluable addition to the site. (And keep Redxx from messing things up royally template-wise.) She didn't see that, did she? I mean, not that I could do any better....  :-]    Kiefer    talk    contribs    admin   04:01, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Haa haa of course I saw that. But I'm on a bit of a learning curve at present (in between majorly sorting my flat out, taking stuff to the charity shop and trying to prevent myself from murdering my daughter...when is school back? lol ) And though I say it myself I'm not doing bad at all.
Oh and I found ..this earlier. I think you can see from the "fixed" smile that she doesn't feel comfortable posing to have her photo taken. Mind you, neither would I with that hair, or all that make up ;) What's that SandBot? SandBot's saying very obvious make up and growing out perms were all the rage in the "olden days". I wouldn't know myself, for I've never been a dedicated follower of fashion. (Rfl)  Яєdxx Actions Words 23:33, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Now I'm the one who's late replying… The "new" search works like this: The Artist parameter from {{Album}} is passed (by way of a variable) to {{AlbumFooter}}. If AF doesn't find the variable (either because you're in section preview mode or because the Artist parameter is missing, as is the case with split albums) it uses the ARTIST magic word instead. In the above case this accidentally makes sense (because of the colon), but without the colon it would just return the whole pagename. So I guess a change is necessary, eventually.
(Red's real reply is still on its way. Expect a ticking parcel some time next week.) — 6×9 (Talk) 17:10, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
Nah, I've decided to be in a good mood this week ;). Oh and aren't you going to comment on my photo? Like they do on MySpace? Do you maybe want some suggestions?

Why do you need a picture of me when you think you know how I look anyway? And I don't believe that's really you on that other photo. They didn't have hairdos and make-up like that back in the 50s. Your daughter maybe… (We all know the 13-year-old you keep mentioning to throw us off the scent is really your granddaughter.) — 6×9 (Talk) 17:25, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
All my boyfriends for the past ((#if:(((boyfriend|)))|20}) ((#if:(((boyfriends|)))|odd years}) have all been younger than me...but you know...with that groovy hair and a bit of restyling, I'm starting to think that maybe I might've been better suited to the eccentric older man. If I wasn't so committed to ending my days as a halibut, I might have given it a go but then again, with hair like that, I have a sneaking suspicion that I would have a 2 hour wait to get into the bathroom!! Rfl  Яєdxx Actions Words 18:09, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
P.S. One of these is my daughter when she had just turned 11. Are you as good at sussing things out as me I wonder...? Oh, and just out of interest, how long does it take to qualify as a Chemist?
Since the red X is obviously you, your daughter must be the grey rectangle with the rounded edges… Or maybe the link doesn't work? And when you say "Chemist" do you mean an apothecary or the other type of chemist? — 6×9 (Talk) 19:02, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
Very funny :-) Ok sorry about that, the link wouldn't work for you because I have my settings on Pedlr set to "Friends" only. This should work.
And I mean this type of Chemist. That page probably answered my question. Яєdxx Actions Words 03:13, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
You are having too much fun. Of course, if one is a pedlr friend, one knows which one is your daughter. Although considering that apples don't fall far from the tree, it's not that difficult to tell who is who. Although she does have better hair.  :-] Blame it on youth. Although thankfully age usually provides clearer skin.    Kiefer    talk    contribs    admin   02:58, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Lol, clearer skin. Funny you should say that because I'm currently going through it big time with my daughter over this very subject. She is costing me a small fortune in anti-spot lotions, creams, etc. I tell her it's her age and that she is wasting her time (and indeed my money) but will she believe me? Heck she will! I'm just the worst mother going, totally unsympathetic to her distress. Of course if I was a good mum I would agree with her that she should take to wearing a yashmak, that her features are hardly distinguishable now because of the spots and ask for an urgent appointment to see the Doctor.  Яєdxx Actions Words 03:41, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Whew! Just don't tell her that as a parent of a teenage girl that you secretly pray daily for her to have skin that will repel those hormone-laden boys that would otherwise flock to her like flies to honey.  :-] She won't understand for another couple of decades.    Kiefer    talk    contribs    admin   04:05, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi, danke für die Änderungen bei der Peters Seite aber warum wurde aus dem Track "Diskretion Delux" gleich 2 Tracks? "Diskretion" und "Delux"?

Nadelspitze 22:58, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

If you follow the links at the bottom of the album page you will find "Diskretion" and "Delux" listed as two separate tracks.  Яєdxx Actions Words 01:57, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
for sure but if you look here:
and look at the CD (and listen to the Track) you'll see that this is just one track. It also contains on a sampler called "I Can't Relax in Deutschland" ( Track 10) in another edit with egotronic. --Nadelspitze 16:58, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Maybe they're segue but have separate track markers anyway? iTunes sells them as separate tracks, and both Amazon and MusicBrainz list them separately. Guess we'll need someone who has access to the actual physical CD… — 6×9 (Talk) 17:00, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
[1]... then if you follow this through by clicking on the link to "Lyrics"  Яєdxx Actions Words 17:09, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
so i've talked with a friend. and its all strange. the track is called diskretion delux but is splittet in two parts because of an intro by "juri gagarin". this intro is about 1:09 minuites without any vocals. on the vinyllp there is no trackmark. on cd trackmack but no break betwen the tracks. the label says both oneside diskretion otherside diskretion delux, some reviewpages (eg some diskretion delux (eg. plattentest).
Well I don't know if this will help but I have copied the lyrics from the website I mentioned in my last post and these are below.  Яєdxx Actions Words 09:42, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Yes, Diskretion is 1:10 long apparently and Deluxe is 2.32. I acquired the song, the one off this album (I think there are a few versions). You can listen to it/download it here. The lyrics sound a bit different from what's below btw.  Яєdxx Actions Words 11:37, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, i know the song. but now? what should we do? add the lyrics (i will have a look at them when i'll add) to Delux? Diskretion? We also can Change the dame of Diskretion in "intro Diskretion Delux" oder something... Nadelspitze 16:08, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

To recap (just to make sure I understood this correctly): 1. "Diskretion Deluxe" is one song; 2. on the CD it is split into two tracks, but NOT into "Diskretion" and "Deluxe" like Amazon etc. have it, BUT into an introduction and the song proper. In that case we should have two pages, one titled "Introduction" or "Introduction To Diskretion Deluxe" and the other "Diskretion Deluxe", with redirects to the latter from both "Diskretion" and "Deluxe" for good measure. Any objections? — 6×9 (Talk) 17:22, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Yes. Too complicated. "Diskretion" is an instrumental. Its duration is 1.10. It sigues into "Deluxe". Simple ;)  Яєdxx Actions Words 23:41, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Since when do you prefer simple over correct? — 6×9 (Talk) 05:24, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Listen to the actual track whilst looking at the timings and you will see that the instrumental part IS "the introduction". But on here we wouldn't describe this as an "introduction" and create a separate page for it. We simply say this is the boring "Instrumental" bit. But OK if it makes you happy you can append the word "introduction" to Instrumental ;)  Яєdxx Actions Words 09:24, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
"Diskretion" isn't an instrumental. There is no song (or piece) called "Diskretion". There is a song called "Diskretion Deluxe". On the CD it's split into two tracks – an instrumental introduction and the song proper. I assume the two tracks aren't listed separately on the sleeve, which is probably why Amazon et al. deduced (wrongly) that one track is "Diskretion" and the other is "Deluxe". — 6×9 (Talk) 07:16, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

"I Don't Get It" (Version 16)

Ok well seems I'm not to make my first million publishing books (despite the fact that I know a best seller when I see one) so looks like you're going to have to hang on in there for a while yet with your trusty old pc. When do you qualify and start making your first mill?

Anyways, I know I should know the answer to this, but as you know by now my brain temporarily refuses to work on occasions. Disney:Colors Of The Wind - why can't I link to album page?

Second question (and third). In Germany, do the Disney soundtracks have German song titles, or English? And are the performers the same as in English versions, or are they German singers?  Яєdxx Actions Words 16:19, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

The most Disney Soundtracks are also Translatet. They have German singers, lyrics and so on... example?: --Nadelspitze 16:57, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
As for the first question, if type = compilation or soundtrack, no artist prefix is used for album link. So albumartist won't do any good either. — 6×9 (Talk) 17:02, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
@6 I know, I just did that to show you that I'd tried doing that.
Mmmmmm@Disney. So that would seem to confirm my fears and I don't use the word lightly that asides from the English versions, all our Disney songs are wrongly titled. Oh dear. My PA isn't going to be at all pleased to hear that.  Яєdxx Actions Words 17:17, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Album float parameter

Any reason it isn't working on here? What did I mess up? --WillMak050389 04:29, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

A mislaid pipe in {{FMotW}} – it displayed only outside of the main namespace (like on the template page itself), when you probably wanted the reverse. Also, since any float items sit in the same container as the infobox, they preferably shouldn't be wider than 190px (including padding, margin etc.), or the whole container will stretch to fit it. (You can also omit the left padding, as that's already provided.) — 6×9 (Talk) 05:00, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
I just kinda copied and pasted another template, so that's where my problem comes from. Is there a way to get it to align with the infobox? Right now, it looks like the infobox and FMotW are the same width, but their centers aren't aligned. --WillMak050389 06:00, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
I tried to fix that too, but couldn't find the problem. Right now I'm a bit busy, but I'll see what I can do about it later. — 6×9 (Talk) 07:41, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

You taking over my job 6? Rfl ;)
I have been a bit slack recently with updating the SOTD nominations tis true. Trouble is Cubs is so prolific with his nominations that I get a bit overwhelmed ;) However, since Cubs has agreed to help me out by adding the stuff to his nominations that I add and which should be added to the song page before passing them through to the Q, I'm hoping to turn "could do better" into "good effort" (lol)
Oh and I'm very glad you got a back up plan Cubs, but I wouldn't have missed any preferred dates. They also need to be entered in the correct position of course to fall on the right day, so I think I best go and check 6 has done it right. Well he is an amateur after all ;)

Q: {{Album Art}}

Should we treat this edition as example of new preferrable AA formatting pattern? tia,--Senvaikis (talk) 05:49, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Only if the art is at "File:PAGENAME - album title.jpg", because that's where the shortened version looks for the image. If the file doesn't exist yet, the shortened version is actually better, because it prompts users to upload to the preferred filename. — 6×9 (Talk) 05:54, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Lol...I best edit the improved new artist template then ;) I did consider this option but decided that the old way might be best until users get their heads round naming album art properly. But we'll give it a go.  Яєdxx Actions Words 09:12, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Correct me, if I'm wrong, but imo shortened version may be preferred for cases when image isn't available yet. But if album image is uploaded already, direct linking to the particular image file should be a)more efficient; b)less vulnerable to possible renamings/moves? tia,--Senvaikis (talk) 10:52, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
This is different from {{Album}} – if cover parameter isn't specified there, it looks for various images using #ifexist (which is rather expensive). {{Album Art}} just "builds" the filename from pagename + 2nd parameter and doesn't care whether the image exists or not. So it shouldn't make any difference at all, performance-wise. — 6×9 (Talk) 07:10, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
I'm surely big stiff, but I still don't understand what's the benefit from emptying existing correct parameter. In other words, I don't think lwt should go through all artist pages, emptying this param, where possible (?) :) cheers, --Senvaikis (talk) 08:40, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
There's neither a benefit nor a cost, so no, editing a page just to remove the param. wouldn't make much sense. I just (sometimes) remove them when I edit a page anyway, to propagate the new format. — 6×9 (Talk) 08:47, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

We've got part one {{Logo}} (which I've updated), but seems we need this template too. However, looking at the page in edit mode it's a bit too involved for me to copy/paste/adapt (i.e. it done my head in). It is the logo equivalent of {{Albumcover}} and {{ArtistPhoto}}, and to be used primarily for when uploading logos for record labels.

You see while you've been in the land of Nod, I couldn't sleep, so I decided instead to wander about and do some major meddling (hee hee). Then to do a crash course on logos (lol). See my fave record label. The logo image is in Category:Logos btw.

Maybe we (meaning you) could adapt one we already got?

Question #1 Does renaming a graphic , e.g. File:KingNee - I attach my user name to every graphic I upload affect the job Q?

Question #2 Adding simply {{logo}} to the summary box on upload page automatically categories the logo in Category:Logos and in correct sort order too, which is good...but this means that all the record label logos will show in this category as well as in the subcategory Category:Record Label Logos that I have created for them. So can you fix that please? Also, the sort order for the subcategory needs a 6 fix too, or everything is going to be sorted under F for file.

On a slightly unrelated note, maybe you can help me out with something that's bugging me. There was a record label, I was sure it was Island. One of my ex-boyfriends had a poster depicting the logo on his bedroom wall. Now this was a very long time ago (lol), but from what I remember the poster was basically of two girls, back to back, possibly twins. Nice artwork. I don't know why but the word Gemini keeps coming to me but that isn't any record label and this was major and likely independent. As I say I thought it was Island. I've tried racking my brain but it just ain't coming to me...

Яєdxx Actions Words 09:06, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

You know Chris, I didn't. But that is a similar image. ;) Does that remind you of a record label 6?  Яєdxx Actions Words 01:39, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
My mum always says "You'll find it when you're not looking for it" and in view of what I just found, I'm beginning to think that maybe she does actually talk some sense: Graphic for Music News Archives :-) (The poster was much nicer though.)  Яєdxx Actions Words 06:56, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
To answer question #1, I don't think it should affect the job queue, but I'm not sure either, so if you're gonna try it, don't do so with an image that's used by SongFooter. It's best to just leave them though, or the links to the redirects will eventually need to be fixed.
As for {{Logo}}, I'll work on it over the weekend. I think a single parameter for different types of logos would be best, to split them across various subcategories. — 6×9 (Talk) 07:29, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure what the benefit would be… apart from different formatting, but not everyone might want that. The lyrics are the most important content on our pages, and the nice thing about the lyric tags is that users can edit that content without any knowledge of wiki formatting or HTML. — 6×9 (Talk) 10:38, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Quite reasonable. But I still think it's worth of it. I saw that some of your administrators are pro "the sematization" of the site/ It could be the first step... Maybe there could be some buttons to provide such tags... Thus, it won't need any knowledge about HTML or wiki... What do you think? — 23:39, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Hmm, I don't really see why this is sensible, because as long as there's no functionality requiring or using the split tags there's no profit from them. Somebody who searches for a certain string in Lyrics will find it both with split tags and with lyrics tags. Remember, that all pages would have to be changed by hand as bots certainly cannot detect whether a text is a verse or the refrain.
This again means that UberBot could not create any pages that didn't have to be overhauled to be formatted correctly.
And last but not least I suppose there will be some songs that result in an edit-war for reasons like defining what is bridge/verse/refrain/intro and "does this "and" belong to the verse or to the refrain" or something like that.

I meant, that of course all tags would be hidden on wiki pages, the only thing they can influence is how the API or lyricwiki would display the text. I don't believe it could cause edit-wars. And of course ANY lyric needs human intervention. imho. Soshial 17:52, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Not everyone wants the chorus to display differently than the verses, I'd think. So it's a lot of effort (agreeing on a display style, coding the tags, and updating several hundred thousand pages) just for a cosmetic effect that could be achieved otherwise. So, contra as well. — 6×9 (Talk) 17:41, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
Contra. Lyrics should always be transcribed as sung. I don't know of any artist that considers it necessary to precede the chorus by announcing "This is the chorus". I like to sing along by following the lyrics, so I don't want to have the flow of this interrupted by such detail. It is usually quite obvious what the chorus is in any event. As for "Verse 1", "Verse 2", etc....  Яєdxx Actions Words 20:16, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Question: transclude or template?  Яєdxx Actions Words 10:54, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

White or #FFFFFF? ;-) — 6×9 (Talk) 12:29, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
Did your Mum never tell you that you shouldn't answer a question with a question? But yeah I mean is should I make an actual template of my user page..or do something else with it..though quite what I can't exactly remember now. It wasn't substitute I know that. It was like the difference between {{tl|This is a template}} {{this isn't}}.  Яєdxx Actions Words 13:21, 18 August 2009 (UTC) P.S. I don't know if you can get it but Jango
Transclusion is what you do with a template, so your question didn't make much sense… It's useful whenever you: (1) need the same code on many pages, or several times on the same page (like with most of our templates); or (2) don't want to have some lengthy code on a page because it might confuse other editors (like the header on the help desk). Since you're (usually) the only person who edits your userpage, neither of these is strictly true, so it's purely a matter of taste. (I'll need to check that when I get home. If it doesn't need Flash it might work.) — 6×9 (Talk) 13:38, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
Transclusion is what you do with a template, so your question didn't make much sense…Yes, I realised that as soon as I read your white versus white analogy (?). It's also useful if you want to cut down page loading times (size?) for people who have slow old pc's ;)  Яєdxx Actions Words 15:42, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
Actually it isn't. The result on the saved page, and therefore the loading time, is the same. Only the edit box is shorter, but since that's text only it's more a matter of connection rather than CPU speed.
Nope, Jango doesn't work here. No matter what I do, I always end up back on the start page. — 6×9 (Talk) 16:40, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
(edit conflict)Template doesn't reduce neither page size nor page loading time.--Senvaikis (talk) 16:46, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
So I basically did all that for nothing then? (second time I've said that today lol) I was hoping to make it easier for a certain user to view my page. Well it's the thought that counts. Thanks guys..I really thought it would help.  Яєdxx Actions Words 17:06, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Linkin Park:Papercut (Remix)

Hey, as a response to my request for deletion, you redirected Linkin Park:Papercut (Remix) to Jay-Z And Linkin Park:Big Pimpin'/Papercut. I don't think that this is a good solution, because there's also a Papercut remix on Reanimation called Ppr:Kut. A deletion would really be the best so that there won't be any confusion. --хенрик 18:47, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

If I deleted the page, it's very likely that it would be re-created at some point. A redirect helps to prevent this. Also, a user landing on a page that might be the one he was looking for (preferably with a {{WrongPage}} template at the top) is better than "No lyrics available", I'd think… — 6×9 (Talk) 05:02, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Fred Astaire:new love, new luck, new summer sky

I am shure, you want to explain me, why you have deleted my entry. To create it was not so less work than it seems. BigTHX --Otto67at 22:40, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Hello Otto67at
I know 6 times 9 is a bit busy at present with his life outside the box, but I believe the reason your entry was deleted was because all you did was create a link, you didn't actually create a song page. Adding an empty link is acceptable when adding an album, and in fact can't often be avoided, but not for the Other Songs section. The Other Songs section is a holding area for song pages, meaning pages with lyrics, that need allocating to albums.
A couple of other points:
  1. Please ensure that the Initial Letters Of Each Word In All Pagenames Are Capitalised. See LW:PN for more information.
  2. The correct name for the Fred Astaire song in question is "New Sun In The Sky". I have obtained the lyrics and created a page which can be viewed here.
Hope that helps.  Яєdxx Actions Words 14:54, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, Red! Actually, Otto did create a song page, but apart from the wrong (and uncapitalised) title, the lyrics were incomplete (only the first verse), badly formatted (all lowercase) and, like the title, partially wrong. Fixing the existing page would have been more work than starting from scratch. — 6×9 (Talk) 17:47, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
