Wine of Aluqah

This song is by Therion and appears…

El-A'awer. Talbis Iblis.
Gulshan-i Raz. Zat-i Shaitan
Ya Zat-i Shaitan.

Drink the Wine of Aluqah and breathe the secret smoke of God.
Intoxicated by the green shadows of the Paradise.
Know that nothing's true and that everything is Permitted.
So read the Old Man of the Mountain in his Book of Lies.

The Nectar Of Aluqah will run down my dreams.
The spring of this paradise hide deep inside unknown unconscious streams

Translation of Arabic:

El-A'awer. Talbis Iblis.

--Who has one eye. Demon's delusion.

Gulshan-i Raz. Zat-i Shaitan

The garden of secrets. Essence of Satan.

Ya Zat-i Shaitan.

Hail, essence of Satan.

Aluqah is a demon mentioned in Proverbs 30:15, an ancient Arabic flesh-eating ghoul. She is one of the Lilim, the children of Lilith.

"The old man of the mountain," haschichin, has evolved into "assassin", a sect with a mountain fortress that used wine and hashish as rewards for killing. Thus, the "secret smoke of god" is likely hashish.

According to the Therion forum, the “Wine of Aluqah” is the ritual drinking of menstrual blood, "Aluqah" being the female genital organ.
