August 31, 2018: Thug Passion by 2Pac

I nominate this song because I love 2Pac. Just the fact that he has a fire flow and you can feel it as if it's contagious. He's always been a real human being. He has a heart, he cares for others and his community as well. There's more reasons why but it's a million and one.

August 29, 2018: Beat It by Michael Jackson

What I find interesting about this song is when in the music video, two rival gangs face each other at the warehouse in a fight to the death between gang leaders before Jackson intervened and stopped the fighting and telling them that violence is not the solution to their problems and they joined him in a dance routine. As the lyrics say, "It doesn't matter who's wrong or right".

August 24, 2018: Intergalactic by Beastie Boys

For years I was confused about why "Intergalactic planetary, planetary intergalactic" and "another dimension" were in the lyrics. But I recently discovered that they were sung in robotic tune, and I thought those robotic strikes were only instrumental. This was also used for the montage of slam dunks in the NBA from "NBA Live 2001: The Music Videos".

Because after 40 years, this song STILL gets a tear out of me! It worked in 1976 when I broke up with my girl, and it still had the same effect in 2014 when my wife of 30 years passed.

August 15, 2018: Cosy Prisons by A-ha

August 13, 2018: All For Love by Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart & Sting

It was amazing for three singers to come together and have their song from the Disney movie, The Three Musketeers Wikipedia16, peak at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was also the first song ever from a Disney live-action film to accomplish that feat. Therefore it is the 2nd overall song from any Disney film to do so after Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle's "A Whole New World" from Aladdin.

August 12, 2018: Listening by Morten Harket

This song is a collaboration of the singer of a-ha, Morten Harket, and the Pet Shop Boys. It was written by the Pet Shop Boys and released by them as a mere b-side. But they recorded it with Harket for his 2012 solo album Out of My Hands. A typical PSB song with the voice of a-ha.

August 05, 2018: Have You Seen Her by MC Hammer

Even though "U Can't Touch This" was MC's signature song, this cover version from The Chi-Lites peaked higher than the former; and it didn't contain any samples and the tempo is slower than almost any other hip hop song.
