April 30, 2014: Der Tag Wird Kommen by Marcus Wiebusch

The song is about a gay football (soccer) player, who wrestles with himself if he should come out as a gay player.
The song describes his permanent fear of being unreaveld, how he pretends to be a straight guy in the football business, knowing that the revelation might possibly end his career at once.
The mood of the song is still very positive, because the day will come (Der Tag wird kommen) that one player will come out and beeing gay is no longer a taboo topic for football and society as well.

April 11, 2014: All My Tears by Jars Of Clay

I nominated this song because a family friend died recently. A poem very similar to the lyrics to this song were read at her funeral. Before she had died, she said that she didn't want people to cry for her because she would be in heaven. So, in memory of her, I suggest this song as song of the day. Death and resurrection are good things to ponder during Lent, too.
