Our Job Exchange is a place where our users can file a request for edits which they cannot do on their own, either due to the amount of work (e.g. performing a serial edit), or because of missing userrights (e. g. editing a locked page). The Job Exchange is free to use for everyone.

How to file a new request

  1. Choose the template matching your request best
  2. Go to the linked documentation and copy the code provided there
  3. Come back here, edit the page and insert the code at the bottom of the page
  4. Fill in the required parameters which are highlighted red on the documentation pages
  5. The best is to use New Rq: <Job name> as summary, so admins will find it faster
  6. Preview and finally save the page

Tasks for the Job Exchange

Insert the code at the end of this page and fill in the parameters.

  • Batch Move (Move pages with a certain prefix to the pages with a different prefix instead)
  • Edit Page (Edit a locked page, e. g. fix typos or change template values)
  • Insert Album (Insert the album parameter for a huge number of pages)
  • Redirect Page (Redirect one or more pages to a [new] target)
  • Update Artist (Update the artist/album parameters in {{SongHeader}}, likely after a batch move)

Other tasks may follow soon.

Page: Roger Waters:In The Flesh? Target: not certain how to go about this   Code: #REDIRECT [[not certain how to go about this]]  Note: presently, RW: In The Flesh? (with question mark) is redirecting to RW: In The Flesh (without question mark) note that they are different versions with different lyrics, the RW version with question mark is in fact a cover of the Pink Floyd version of In The Flesh? (with ?, first song of The Wall)
