The Call and Call

I just worked on the Other section of The Call's page and I found a lot of "Call:XYZ" entries there. According to the history of the page your Janitorbot added them to the page. Probably because the artist page of "Call" redirects to "The Call". As far as I have found out, a lot (if not all) of those songs are actually by "The Call". According to Wikipedia there is another band from Pakistan with the name "Call". Now I am not sure what exactly to do with those entries in the "Other" section. Removing from the section won't solve anything/Redirecting would still lead to problems when someone wants to add the Pakistani band "Call" (or any other band with that same name not listed on wikipedia) this would lead to problems like misunderstandings of a bot/users. And I think when I just put a "move" in there it will not be moved but rather just redirected without recognizing the point I am trying to make/talking about this case. What's the better way to solve this? Leave it as it is or..? Because this is not the first time I come across such a "problem". Therefore this is rather a question of principle..
Oh, and thanks for LW btw! :) - MusicAddict 01:03, February 1, 2012 (UTC)

There won't be any issues with redirecting any The Call songs with the Call: prefix to their The Call: equivalent -- in fact, that's exactly the way any incorrectly titled songs should be handled. Redirecting them and removing them from Other Songs actually does solve the problem; LYRIC-Janitor then will no longer try to re-add them (either to "The Call" or "Call") in the future.
For the songs listed on The Call's page that are not by The Call -- which means we can probably assume they're by a band named Call -- the best thing to do would be to change the redirect page at Call into an artist page, with those songs listed under an "Other Songs" heading on that page. Not seeing red

At least in the default skin, Preview is no longer showing nonexistent page links as red (i.e., it's showing all links as blue). Inadvertent change to the CSS, perhaps? Trainman 20:15, February 9, 2012 (UTC)

Eek, that's no good. Forwarded to w:c:www:Special:Contact -Sean Colombo 21:09, February 9, 2012 (UTC)
Problem is that the CSS selector in the scss file is ".WikiaMainContent a.new, .WikiaMainContent a.new:visited", which does not apply to the preview dialogue as it's appended outside the "WikiaPage" section tag that contains that WikiaMainContent element. - Chris 22:17, February 9, 2012 (UTC)

Spam filter for blog comments

Might be a good idea, I think… — 6×9 (Talk) 07:14, February 11, 2012 (UTC)

Chris deleted the lot, but there were several dozen spam comments. Before yesterday there used to be only one or two a day… — 6×9 (Talk) 15:27, February 11, 2012 (UTC)
I thought we shouldn't leave them under that comment, what impression would an occasional visitor get? Sean may rather look into them in the log. I now created a filter. - Chris 22:07, February 11, 2012 (UTC)

W00t, nice filter :D -Sean Colombo 20:23, February 12, 2012 (UTC)
Getting out of hand. I'm afraid the filter needs to be even stricter, or maybe we should allow blog comments only for registered users… unless it's possible to add a captcha for anons? — 6×9 (Talk) 20:04, February 16, 2012 (UTC)
I think I got something wrong, it only inhibited every third edit. I now parted the filter to inhibit all blog comments with URLs, but also block the user after warning him if he tries it 3 times within an hour. We'll see if that helps. - Chris 23:03, February 16, 2012 (UTC)

Split albums

I was wondering if there is any way to add multiple artists to a album page? I am editing a split-album with two artists, so it would be nice if there was links to both artists. Thanks! — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Oloff3 (talkcontribs).

See {{Album}} under "Special Parameters" - you want |Split, |Split2 etc. — 6×9 (Talk) 07:47, February 29, 2012 (UTC)
