All Bill Withers songs get interpreted as albums, because the name is ARTIST:TITLE (XXXX) rather than ARTIST:TITLE. If you use {{SUBST:ALBUM}} and {{SUBST:ALBUMFLETTER}} it works. — 6x9 (Talk) 20:30, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

King! just noticed the PF subpage cat. Take a look at these guys:Category:SplitCatalog, the way I did it is that every subpage is like a regular artistpage, Conway Twitty 1959-1969. For the sake of site uniformity in regards to splitcat pages, which is better? I'll do all the necessary mods eitherway, also because I have Category:Pages Needing Split Catalog to deal with as well, plus a few more that show at top of cat:Long pages. cheers ∃cho⚡ierr∀ (☏) 05:09, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

That would be a good bit of discussion to have. I did it with the intention of a quick fix (many of my little 'inovations' have been a result of something showing up too much in Dead end Pages.)

As far as the original question: I think that subpages should be treated as subpages, with the hometown, star, and other informations kept on the page-page. I tend to think of subpages as a page that you could only get to from the page-page, and containing no redundant information.

I totally agree with your thinking and your categorizing of subpages. Subpages should only be containers for album listings, not as equal pages to the Artist's page. --WillMak050389 05:36, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

I hadn't seen this post (as usual I'm "lagging" very much behind on my watchlist - lol) before joining the discussion on Echo's talk page. I don't think Kiefer has seen it either. So can you guys take a look over there and also see what I did on one of the Jimmy Buffet sub page's. I believe that is the way to go. We don't separate all songs by a certain artist by artist, so I really don't think we should be separating sub pages by artist and creating seperate categories accordingly either. You certainly don't have to. Until now I was not aware that the watcher template accompanying a bronze ranking was required.

Hi, Kingnee - I don't think I've ever posted on your talk page before. Would you kindly add your vote to the discussion linked above? We need more user feedback regarding the star ranking system. The options are: add a blue star between green and bronze that won't require a watcher, or discontinue the watcher requirement on bronze pages, or leave things as they are. By the way, I was looking back at some old words on my talk, and I noticed you were having trouble with wikEd. Are you still having troubles?

However I don't see how it is installed "site wide" (there's no option in preferences like there is on Wikipedia), and therefore how to use the site's version as opposed to the Greasemonkey script. Cacycle is the guy that wrote wikEd, and has full documentation on how to install wikEd where enabled, namely here. This would get you installed with wikEd wherever you go.

On the rss itself (the lastfm service) only extends to the last ten tracks played. The 11th rolls off. It does make sense that you could display more somehow...

Nobot does stop Janitor in his tracks. Janitor has been going 'round changing redirected links to direct links, and he was doing so on that page (where the redirected links are very important). Since then Janitor hasn't futzed with the page at all...
