[edit] Information about this template
This template can be used to nominate an album for Album of the Week. Hopefully this will cut down on incorrect nomination syntax.
[edit] Use
Add the following to the bottom of the nominations (link) replacing parameters in angle brackets with the information needed for the album.
{{subst:SOTDNom|Album=<<Album link>>|Reason=<<Reason>>}}
[edit] Parameters
| Parameter | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Album (Required) | Insert link to album page, including artist, album name and year of release. |
| Reason (Required) | Insert reason for nomination. |
| Preferred Date (Optional) | Insert the preferred date (or date range) for this album, if it is a time-sensitive nomination. Most useful for anniversaries or holidays/upcoming events. [Note: Please specify the name of the month. For example: "2/10/09" could mean Feb. 10 to some and Oct. 2 to others whereas "2 Oct. 2009" cannot be as easily confused.] |
[edit] Example
{{subst:AOTWNom|Album=Yuki Kajiura:Fiction (2003)|Reason=This album is from the only artist that I have liked every single song that she has worked on. So, although I neither have this album, nor have I heard every song on it, I already know that it is an excellent album. It also contains three songs from the anime series .hack//SIGN. Key of the Twilight is an upbeat song with excellent lyrics and just makes you want to go off on a quest. Fake Wings has a soothing melody and likewise has well written lyrics. Open Your Heart has two versions, only one of which is on this album. There are very few lyrics to this song, but it still is a pleasure to listen to.|Preferred Date=August 6, 2009 (Anniversary of album's original release date)}}
