Concept
Edit
- The Wall is a concept album that tells the story of Pink, a psychotic rock star who has been broken down to a mental state where he tries to wall out everyone else. He has come to this mainly because of the death of his father, his overprotective mother, and his abusive school teacher. This leads to drug abuse, an affair, and other isolating tendencies. Eventually, his mind brings him to trial where he realizes all he has done and is ordered to tear down the wall and expose himself to his peers. This, unfortunately, is not enough, as the album is meant to be cyclical and he will inevitably end up repeating the process.
