GuidelinesEdit

1. It is best (but not necessary) for news items to be linked to related pages here at LyricWiki. Related pages does not only mean artist, album and song pages, but can also include other types of pages, e.g. category pages and sub-pages, such as Category:Genre and Category:Hometown. Such links may be of interest to some and the category page will often provide a link to Wikipedia where the reader can find further information.
2. Where related pages do not currently exist here at LyricWiki, you may want to consider linking to an article page at Wikipedia using the unobtrusive Wikipedia article template {{wp}}.
3. It is also good practice to preview your submission before saving. This is not only to check for spelling errors, typos, etc., but also to check that any links, be they internal or external, are still valid in relation to your submission. And particularly in the case of Wikipedia, that the links don't simply direct the reader to a disambiguation page.
4. News items should also have external, verifiable sources. Those that don't are likely to remain unused.
5. The summary of the news item should be relatively short. In most instances a single paragraph will usually be sufficient.
6. If your submission is informing about a music event that has not yet taken place, please allow sufficient time for your submission to be processed.
