It's got the best drum beat ever and I'm not kidding and the lyrics are touching too.
How has this not been nominated? It's probably one of the best Michael Jackson songs out there (and thats saying something.) With an excellent guitar part by slash, too.
The very best from a band with a difference.
The mellow ballad from the evil gods.
He has very powerfull voice, and lyrics is perfect
Dead! is track number two from My Chemical Romance's album, The Black Parade. It's an upbeat song with good guitar chords and honest lyrics. video
I'd like to nominate this song in honor of the Christmas holidays. It's not a Christmas carol, per se, but it has a carol-like quality to it. This is one my favorite Jackson Browne songs.audio
It's one of the best covers ever and its acoustic. It's 2 things that can show a band's good and Nirvana proved it.
it's one of the funnier of their hits and also my favorite
It's just an 80's classic from one the all time best of rock n roll
It's an amazing song. The chorus is just perfect.I've been a fan of Creed and since their breakup I've moved onto Alter Bridge. They're just awesome.
It's a classic Foo song w/ the catchiest melody ever to me.It's just true genious.
This is a rocking good song. The tune is catchy, the melody is memorable and the song was a hit. You can hear the enthusiasm of the instrumentalists and the energy of the singer. This song was the smash first-time hit for Alter Bridge.''
While there are a lot of great tracks on Long Live Rock 'n' Roll, I think this is the best. The manic tempo, Ritchie Blackmore's guitar playing, and Ronnie James Dio's voice make it a great song. audio
So named because it was created from bits and pieces of various studio takes (akin to Frankenstein's monster), this instrumental by the The Edgar Winter Group quickly shot to #1 on the charts. To me, it's not surprising the song became so popular; that guitar riff is memorable in any way, shape, or form. audio
The song for all who have given up almost all hope. Truly the only work of musical art that truly captures the feeling of one with nothing left to live for. One who is 'on a mission, nowhere bound'. the only song that can truly explain the emptyness of life without a goal, a love, or a prayer.
While not as well-known as "House of the Rising Sun," this is still one of The Animals' most popular hits. The song was ranked #315 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest songs of all time, and with its distinctive organ/guitar riff, it's hard not to agree it belongs on that list. audio
This track from the final album The Audio of Being is one of the few Matthew Good Band songs to employ a heavily guitar-laden Rock style. The shear intensity with which it is delivered commands respect for our obsession with self-destruction. audio
The first track from Siamese Dream, one of the greatest albums of the nineties, this song continues to be my favorite of any Pumpkins songs. You don't have to understand the song's meanings about the fakeness of the music industry to enjoy Billy's lyrics. The powerful chords and octaves and the beautifully melodic guitar solo are backed up by loud, energetic drumming. It's just an amazing song.
The first single from David Usher's Hallucinations, this track delves into the struggle faced by all of us: life. Accompanied by rich guitars, David Usher's talent and emotional strength make this a hard song to wave aside. video
The capstone track to the album Avalanche, this song's smoothe, flowing melody draws the listener in for less of a goodbye and more of a see you later. To this day it is one of my favourite songs and captures my full attention whenever it plays. audio
Truly the first heavy metal song to recieve airplay, Quiet Riot broke down barriers in the music world and allowed heavy metal to go to a more mainstream audience. Truly a staple of metal, and Carlos Cavazo on guitar doesn't hurt this really great song, either.
Released as the title track of the William Friedkin thriller To Live and Die in L.A., this hit by Wang Chung fell just shy of the American Top 40. With the distinctive riff, I think it's one of the most haunting pop songs I've heard. audio
This song is a single from the album Apocalypso (2008) which has just won the Australian Album of The Year in the Triple J J Awards! It's a great dance tune and a favourite of mine.
This has to be Metallica's best song, going from slow paced to fast paced and based on the novel/movie "Jimmy Got His Gun" where the main charaicher lost his arms legs speak hearing and sight this song also has exelant rythem and rythem changes
Who the heck wouldn't know these lyrics? It is one of the most frequently played songs at sports events. Hit the Road Jack is a very good song that repeats a lot. So now, after you hearing this, I just have 2 more things. Here I go: "Hit the Road, Jack, and don't you come back, no more, no more, no more, no more,!" (chuckle)
I just think i'm not a Billy Idol fan, but this is the one exception. Rebel Yell is one of the weirdest songs in history, and I was glad when I heard it on Nights With Alice Cooper. With a great sound, this is overall a good song. But the "more, more, more" can get annoying after a while.
The third track of Strange Days has one of the most recognizable riffs in the Doors' catalogue. The song reached #25 on the pop chart, while also helping Strange Days reach #3 on the album chart. I think this is one of the Doors' best songs. audio
As you all know, Oingo Boingo was a big part of the 80s rock music band group. This song from the album Oingo Boingo:Only A Lad (1981) was not a major song, but is a good story of a boy that is very much like a criminal. Then after the song is a cool part that appears in the beginning also. I own the CD, and this is the best song on it.
As you can see, I like rap music. This is a very cool rap song and to some is his best ever work. As you see with the lyrics, this is repeating a lot. That's what I like in a rap song. Overall, this is cool to listen to. I'm telling everyone to buy a Soulja Boy CD and have fun.
This might be Rage vs. the Machine's best work ever, especially the guitar solo. Being a Tom Morello fan, I love this song. I hope this site takes it, even with the advisory sticker. Thanks if you did! I hope you get to meet these guys like I did. THEY ROCK! This is also the best ever rap metal song, because Rage invented rap metal.
