kin no hikaru ga michi
honoo ni moeru
uruwashiki kono teien
ikusen hodo no
bara-tachi ga miruyume no
hitotsu hitotsu wo
kazoe nagara
toki wo
sugoshita hibi ga
haruka na mukashi
soredemo
atta you na
ki ga suru

Beneath the golden sky
Are the hidden iron gates
Of the ruins that fell asleep
They open, and as if in recollection
The flower garden tucked away within
Is overflowing
With a mysterious fragrance

It was with a cloudy nostalgia
And a little bit of sadness, too
That I lost my words
And went walking into the illusions
The horned beasts there
All stopped in their tracks
And regarded me with gentle eyes

This garden is beautiful
In the twilight
It fills up with flaxen light
Burning like flames
And while I count
One-by-one
The thousands of sleeping roses' dreams
The days I spent
In the flow of time
Become far away and long ago
Leaving me with only
The faintest notion
That they ever
Occurred at all
